Since the tropics and jet stream have aligned to form a perfect storm, I’m using the weekend to play Diablo 3 and relax inside where it’s dry. Meanwhile, Mari is being super-productive and practicing her camouflage. Nope- I can’t find the cat. Oh well, I guess she’ll have to do without treats today… I never thought she’d find such a unique use for the bowl I made. What is it they say about cats being liquid?
Dreary rainy days make me want to just close my eyes and plot out scenes. But, there is a charity auction at the local DV shelter, so I want to make sure I have an item ready to donate. Thus, I spent the weekend painting instead.
This is the Reaper Miniatures Bones Narthrax. Julie Guthrie sculpted this beauty. One of the things I love about the new Bones plastic is the ability to get a truly concave wing shape. Before with metal, the wings always ended up flat. Now, they’ll practically cup the air and lift the dragon right off the table! So this fellow is still in progress so ignore the blending. More later when I recuperate from being on call.
